Now here is where I have to talk about something clever and interesting about myself. So let's go with the thing that everyone asks me about - Hardt the Piercer.
When I was a child living in my Midwest, strict Christian home, I couldn't imagine taking a career as a body piercer. Even as a 34 year old father of 2, it is still hard to believe that I poke holes into people for a living. But I wouldn't change a thing. After 15 years, I still love what I do.
Body piercing began for me while I was in the Air Force training for Pararescue (an elite Air Force rescue medic) at Kirtland AFB. A friend asked me to pierce her navel in 1992 and I was hooked. A few piercings a month lead to a few a week, and by the end of '94, I was piercing professionally doing 10 - 30 piercings a day.
My quest for knowledge motivated me to attend several piercing courses:
-Fakir Musafar Piercing Intensives
-Gauntlet's Basic & Advanced Piercing Seminars
-Exotic Body Piercing Course.
Over the course of almost 15 years, I have performed nearly 20,000 piercings in studios across the United States and in London, England.
