..Makeup Artist Krystal Garcia has always had a passion for makeup, art and fashion. Growing up in New York, you could always find her looking through fashion and glamour magazines studying how makeup, fashion and photography came together to tell a complete story. In 1997, her love affair with makeup deepened as she decided to embrace her talents and desire. Always the life long learner, she attained training through the Barbazon School of Modeling in White Plains, New York, followed by a career with Whilemina Models, that allowed her to learn about print and media makeup so she better understood how makeup is affected by lighting, camera techniques, print, film and video. She gained real world experience by working behind the counter for Michelle Danielle Cosmetics, Estee Lauder and MAC. This opportunity, not only exposed her to various makeup artist and their artistic talents, but it allowed her to study how makeup related to and effected various ethnicities and structures of the human face.Her ambition and drive to become a professional makeup artist took her to NYC where she was given the opportunity to do makeup for fashion designer Galit Levi as part of the Wedding Channel Couture Fashion Show. This is when she truly began to appreciate and concentrate on creating her signature style that is both flawless and natural looking.With her warm smile, outgoing personality and infectious enthusiasm, she is quickly becoming one of fashion and entertainment’s most vibrant talents. She has worked with famed superstar, Mariah Carey, News Anchor Sue Simmons, and has had the privilege of working with other celebritiy photographers, such as Nick Fanelli, With both of thier work featured in "Time" Magazine. Her work has been published internationally in such publications as Elle (Mexico), Image Chicago, and MINI (Russia) to name a few.Krystal has the ability to create looks that range from natural and elegant to high fashion to ultra-glamorous. With a background as an esthetician, her philosophy on beauty is clean, beautiful and healthy skin. When asked about her love and talent for creating a natural look, she says “I believe makeup is the most creative medium a makeup artist-or anyone- can use to enhance your natural beauty and featuresâ€. Now, as she continues to grow and become a budding force in the beauty industry, she feels lucky to be working in an industry that has given her opportunities to meet and work closely with amazing people from different cultures from around the world that she otherwise would never have had the opportunity to do, and for this gift, she feels truly blessed.
