MUSLIM "SOUL SISTA" NABILA is a Venezuelan born, London based singer/song-writer and composer, who creates a unique soul-searching sound influenced by her travels and laced with spiritual reflections. Before finding her spiritual home in Islam, Nabila was lead vocalist in 90s dance act "Next Wave of Jazz" who topped billings alongside the likes of the Prodigy at Glastonbury Festival, Drum Rhythm (Amsterdam) and headlining at Amsterdam's Melkveg, and were invited to record at Courtyard Management Studios (Oxford), by Brian Message (Manager: Radiohead). Nabila's melodies and lyrics hit the Drum&Bass charts with Next Wave of Jazz in 2000 (What We Die For, 2000, 12" vinyl, Speedlincs)became a drum and bass classic.Nabila, (formerly Naby), was also priviledged to have sung in Southampton Community Gospel Choir, directed by choir master Ken Burton, where she cultivated her love for Gospel and Soul. Nabila was missed from her regular vocal sessions when she quit internet radio station Gaia Live in 1999. After years of silence, Nabila re-discovered her voice with new-found insight. Currently working on her solo debut album "Ethereal" Nabila is preparing a showcase of her new work later this year.IF YOU LIKE THE SONGS PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENTPEACE TO YOU ALWAYS!
