About Me

Hello, allow me to introduce to you Mr Jones. Mr. Jones Hails from our nations capitol, Washington D.C., where he started his career as a performer in local nightclubs and concerts as an opening for the major concerts and music festivals. He later formed his own jazz "fusion" quartet while attending the Prince Georges school of music. It was there that he immersed in the local jazz/rock scene, learning the music of Chick Corea and George Duke, as well as Kieth Emerson and Rick Wakeman. "It was a great time to come up musically, so many influences to choose from." RnB band music was very big also, with bands like Earth Wind and Fire, Funkadelic, The Gap Band, and War, to name a few were putting out consistently good music. Mr, Jones and friend Derrick Lowe formed the band "Maniquin", and with a young, unseasoned Kenny Lattimore as lead vocalist, landed a major contract with powerhouse Epic records. It was there that he nurtured his songwriting and production skills, writing songs with Latimore, and friend Toni Braxton, also a local up and comer. In 1992 Mr Jones decided to further persue his dream by relocating Los Angeles California. He performed on the very first Jay Leno show as keyboardist with "Shanice". From there he went on to tour and record with the biggest RnB acts out, Including Janet Jackson, Usher, TLC, Brandy,Toni Braxton, and countless others.Mr. Jones has an inate ability and uncanny sensibility to bring to light the true essence of whatever he plays, and bring it to a live situation. His latest project is his long overdue solo cd untitled "Unconditional". It offers funky head bobbing grooves as well as memorable melodies. Mr Jones has also branched out into other genres of music, including film projects, and is widely sought after and acknowledged for his professionalism and humility.
