Listen: There were young two men from Lieto, Finland, - Guitarist/Singer Tero Kohtamäki and Slap-bass player Jukka Nurmi, who've been friends for a lifetime. Those 20-year-old boys found a drummer, Arto Korhonen, and hallelujah! They got a band, nominated and christened: PAIN IN ARSE, formed in late 1991. A raw sounding punk-a-billy trio, real honest thing, honeys! Our music was essentially pure evergreen Rock-a-billy, intermixed with straight punk. We all liked lots of rough savage, brutal bands like (to mention a few): Pirates, Melrose, and Meteors Music was also influenced by psycho-billy, 60’s pop, some psychedelic shit, what was a very fun and very healthy after all, because band played lots of –mostly- coversongs. Lot of gigs and a memorable trip’s to over Europe, where the band played a show’ and an amazing live act’s! Band never released records. A few demos’s Pain In Arse made. Entered a studio in their hometown with Timo Luostarinen. Afterwards couple of collection-CD’s has released by Eki Dahlström. Band chanced a drumplayer 1996 to Danil Venho from Analdeath orchestra. Arto went to Analdeath orchestra. For a change! About 1999-2000 we designated our band: Westcoast Whippers! In the beginning, conclusion was written WEST and COAST together. It brings that way so much class, touch, style, and a fine, wonderful philosophy. We also start to write own songs and present ‘em.And now? We will attack and invade to Europe again at spring 2008! We will play an old song’s from Pain In Arse and hot, new stuff! These records produced by the band themselves and the studio-engineer and drummer Danil Venho. The result of real intense four year session’s.New song’s are very hot stuff, mama! Timeless classic’s. 1. “MAD DOG” is real ace! Real near at the Psycho-a-billy sector/zone. Uuh, forbidding and scary! Ui-jui!
