About Me
So I finally gave in and made one of these things. I suck at doing this part so here goes. I'm Matt and I live in Delray Beach, here in sunny south Florida. I was however born on Friday the 13th in Salem, Ma (Witch county).
I'm in my last year of College. I want to enter the field of Entertainment Journalism. Afterall, if you're going to write about something, it may as well be that with which you can put fourth genuine feel into right? For the past three years I've been a Senior Writer for an entertainment magazine based here in south Florida. It's a nice first step into the world of Music Journalism and I really enjoy getting to write for a magazine that I've been reading since before I was in middle school.
To my credit as a Journalist, thusfar I have interviewed Drowning Pool, Theory Of A Deadman, Machine Head, Black Light Burns (twice), Sick Puppies, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Hurt, Ministry, We The Kings, Human Factors Lab, Between The Buried And Me, Motley Crue, Red, UnderOath, 3 Doors Down, Finger Eleven, Staind, JP Soars, Ghost of Gloria, Taproot, Aaron Lewis, and Hoobastank. By now I've also reviewed more albums and concerts than I can count, haha
I work as an Administrative Manager for a rather large production company based in Delray Beach. Though sometimes stressful, I enjoy my job. I get to interact with many people and personalities, plus I get a lot of insight on the business aspects of things, which are more hectic and screwy than you can imagine
My big passion in life is music. I'm the Vocalist/Guitarist and Primary Songwriter in my band, Scattered Light with my good friends Damien and Derek. Someday, I may get another chance to let music take me further in life. If not, at least I can say I gave it another try, and through it have gotten to do/see many things that most people only dream in there room about doing. For that I consider myself very lucky and thankful for having the chance to tour and see the country playing music.
I absolutly love writing new music. It's therapy and feels damn good to get it out. For me, music is life. There is absolutly nothing in this world that makes me happier than when I'm getting to play music. All of your life's troubles disappear, and in that moment, everything is so much better.

New age hippies. They bitch about commercialism, when they're the biggest sell-outs of them all. Usually living off of their parents money.
