The Encien Music Group is the No. 1 hip hop Latin music company in Portland OR with approximately 35% of Latin music sales in the Northwest. Founded in March 2005 with a vision of releasing and marketing the best of Latin hip hop music. Encien Records was formed by Low G and Iturbide in 2005. The label specialized mainly in Reggeaton and singer/songwriter material, Encien and its artists have been recognized in local and regional press throughout the last couple years. The label has reached such accolades as the top Independent Latin Record Label in the state of Oregon. Not to mention, the EMG family has also been recently featured in the March edition of Ourstage, Which included Iturbide in their "Most Valuable Artist†focus in 2007 and a member of the Ourstage "top played" in the past year. When asked for his plans for the label within the next few years Iturbide stated: "I would like to take Encien Records to a new level and become one of the major Record Labels in the Music Business, similar to Asylum Records."
