The New Public Allies of Cincinnati

About Me

Public Allies is an AmeriCorps program that focuses on strengthening communities and young leaders. There are three components to the Public Allies experience: the Apprenticeship, Leadership Training and Development, and Intentional Community Building.
The apprenticeship places Allies in a direct service position at a local nonprofit, school, or government agency. Allies remain in the same position for the 10-month duration of the program. Every Friday, Allies will participate in training and development sessions on a variety of topics. Public Allies Program Staff as well as community leaders and independent trainers will facilitate training sessions. The intentional community building is created, developed, and implemented by teams of Allies, giving the opportunity for Allies to build relationships in smaller, more intimate settings.
Allies receive a $13,500 living stipend during the 10 month service period. Allies are also eligible for health insurance, childcare, and student loan forbearance. Upon completion of the program, Allies will receive a post-service education award of $4,725.
