D.B. Blues

I started playing guitar when I was 14. I bought a used Strat copy at a pawn shop and on a trip to Chicago I bought some pickups from a '72 strat. Once I put them in and bought some Fender hardware it sounded like a real Strat. Unfourtnatly its life was short lived becasue I got mugged for it. After that I decided to get real about the blues and bought myself a real, brand-new 2005 strat and I love it like it was woman. From '05 - '07 I formed a blues band called I.G.A. We only played a couple shows and didn't write any songs but it was a good expirance. Over the coarse of that time in a bar in Florida, The Scat Cat Pub I met a Mr. Elliote Dyson. He was a sax man in a local band and we got to talking and he brought me up for my first time on stage. I was only 15 and we did a instrumental version of Bo Diddley's Road Runner. It was after that I found out that he played The Temptaions. Early in '07 I cut my first cd. Its all acoustic covers but most of songs played live are electric. I started to play shows over and took the name "D.B. Blues". It came from my initals. In May of 2007 I met my idol B.B. King outside the Burt. I was talking to a man outside and it turned out to be his son Willie King and I told him I'm a bluesman too and he set up a meeting with the King. Later that year I was in Chicago to see Eric Claptons' Croassroads 2007 when at a flea market I bumped into another member of the Temptaions. Mr. Paul Coleman. It was really something to meet him as his wife had known my favorite Harmonica player ever Little Walter Jacobs. Currently I'm playing shows with my guitarist Andrew and guest Shanell.
