Delba Fest is a two day music festival held in Delba (pronounced Del-Bee) Texas to raise funds for the purpose of helping Brian Madden pay personal debt. As many of you know, our friend, Brian Madden (ie- Buzzard Tree BBQ, Flood Stump Chili Team, and Texas Tosted Tacos) is the recipient of 2 kidney transplants so far, one from his father in 1974 and another from his sister in 1996. He is currently in rejection and is loosing his kidney. He is in very poor health and his kidney has all but shut down. Brian has started Dialysis and hopefully he will start feeling better soon. The process for another transplant has started and he has six siblings from which to receive a match. The problem for now is, with his health being so poor he is not able to work. He is getting very far behind on his bills and is in serious danger of loosing his land!! Delba Fest will be held on Saturday March 8, and Sunday March 9 at Brian's place, 5 beautiful acres in Delba, Texas, Located about 25 miles North of McKinney, Texas, up 121 near Leonard. Camping will be available and is recommended. All sites are primitive (No Hookups) so bring your own tent or trailer and plan for a big evening on Saturday. Buzzard Tree BBQ and the Flood Stump chili team will have food available throuout the festival. We'll have 2 porta potties, plus 2 bathrooms in Brian's house for the ladies. A $20.00 per person donation will be requested at the gate, however, if you would like to make a larger donation this will be greatly appreciated. Kids are more than welcome and 12 & under are FREE!! We'll have several raffles including one for a beautiful brand new acoustic guitar autographed by all the performers!! We'll have other raffles for ALL KINDS of cool stuff, plus each day we'll do a 50/50 raffle for cold hard cash!! DelbaFest'08 has taken on a life of it's own, we have 15 acts performing, a full blown proffesional sound system, artist merchandise, all kinds of fun!! Come on out, and bring the kinfolk, it's gonna be a blast!
