About Me

Monica Rouvellas is a Composer, Violinist, Audio Engineer based in Sydney, Australia. She has studied composition with many of Australia's top composers including Eric Gross AM, Richard Percival, Winsome Evans, Matthew Hindson, Brad Gill and Damien Ricketson. Monica has studied violin with two of Australia’s prominent performers: Adrian Keating and Evan Elsley. As an audio engineer, she is currently being mentored by John Bassett.

Monica is currently completing her Bachelor of Music in Composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, with honours, where she's paving a path for future career as a professional composer, performer, and audio engineer.

Monica was recently commissioned to write a piece for the Sydney Technical High School string ensemble, with a vision to make music fun to perform, for the youth of today. She performs regularly with members of her string quartet Vogue Electric and Classic Strings, which she co-founded with Marleen Broekmans in 2007. Monica records various concerts for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as well as outside events.
