About Me
On My Own Project is a solo project, based on personal life experience, so to speak...
Even tough it started as being considered just a way to pass time, a growing interest in making more and better sound has been taking over this project, which is the same thing as saying: me.
After a positive response from close friends, more lyrics and songs started to come out, and having a profound effect, not only on myself, but also in those who heard it and comented on it. And I guess that's exactlly what we all dream about...
So, after strating with a song that was written by request, I started to notice that I could actually write and sing my own songs. So a couple of years later a whole lot more songs have seen the light of day; and so did my confidence in myself and in a dream the lied sleeping for all these years...I'd like people to think about this as some king of hidden suprise, because I always kept this side of me secluded, and did not show it very often, and only to those I knew ofr quite a while. Now, I've realized that such a small number was kind of... unfair, let's say. So after my friends "pushed" me and gave me confidence, I saw that alied with my own capacity to believe in myself, I could do something special with my work. And I trully believe that this is something that is really worthwhile! So I'll keep on fighting for it, with your support, friendship, encouragement, and even criticism (one must be able to take criticism to advance and progress - being humble is an extremelly important quality to have in this business).As far as direction is concerned, it's a moving project. From an album based on a story of a relationship, the natural progression (at least in my view) is something not so sad, intimate, close or biographic. Right now you can have a story, a story I hope you can identify to, in a way... It's supposed to make you think you already felt that; after all, the message is what everybody expects other people to grasp and feel. Every band hopes their songs are felt and looked at as something you can relate to. Hopefully, you'll feel that... The new songs I'm working on also reflect a state of mind, almost as if it was a continuation of the first work. It will be different, but equally directed to emotions, good and bad.I guess the only thing that's missing is actual bio, right? So here goes...
I was born in 1978, and always felt close to music, thanks to my Dad's collection of LP's. So I guess those were the first influences: Doors, Beatles, and all sorts of artists from those days. A lot of 80's songs aswell, formed my first musical backgroud.
The guitar was just a passtime until 2006, when I tried to learn something real, so I just started looking around on the internet for songs I could learn, and so in time I started doing my own songs, and here they are (at least some of them)...Enjoy, that's my wish :) See ya around...
