Born in a small town in the SE corner of MN called Winona, Patrick O'Brien grew up in an Irish Catholic family of nine. His dad was a salesman who sold auto accessories which he and his siblings manufactured and packaged in the basement of their Winona home. Patrick attended St Casmirs and Cathredral Grade Schools rich in Polish culture.Many evenings would consist of the family dinner followed by family prayer, then a family sing-along around the piano. Early in his life Patrick discovered he had a deep love for singing, he sang in the church choir, singing a solo; Ave Maria solo at St. Casimirs in the 8th grade. Patrick's dad, Paul, died while he was still in the 9th grade, a sad event which prompted Pat into an early independenceHe began playing harmonica at the age of 15 when he was given a harmonica by a man he met while hitchhiking. From there, he went on to discover the guitar while playing with highschool friends."It was a steady diet, heavy on Dylan, blind faith, blood sweat and tears; Beatles, and Crosby Stills Nash and Young."Patrick hitchhiked over 26,000 miles during his highschool and college years, across the US, Canada and Europe; giving him a wealth of experience. He began attending the University of Minnesota, Winona for four years. Majoring in Comminuations and continuing vocal lessons which he had started in highschool.Pat soon discovered he had a penchant for acting, and performed in several college productions and eventually moved to Colorado to pursue a career in acting.While living in Colorado Pat had a spiritual awakening and found himself enrolled in Bible college. For the next few years he worked pioneering churches in Ohio and Minnesota. In Ohio, Patrick met the love of his life Julie who would be the mother of their five children; Kelly, Ashley, Erin, Sean, and Shannon.Patrick started a cleaning buisness professional cleaning systems, specializing in carpet cleaning and restoration services. He is currently working, residing in Winona Minnesota while he works on songwriting and recording a blues cd with stellar musicians. He frequently trips to Nashville.He has a warm personality, infectious humor and captivating music, making him a favored performer in the midwest.
