It was the year 2003 when Lord Melkor created Gorthaur. Searching for skilled supporters he only met disinterested people.
In Gorothraug, a close friend to the Lord, he found a enthusiastic musician, who was eager to join and perform the music the Lord had in his mind.
At the end of 2003 the band Gorthaur managed to create their first Demo, which they called "To Conquer Middle Earth". It was not that good, because they only used a drumcomputer for their songs.
After recording 6 songs they chosed to use a real drumset to achieve a better sound.
The year 2004 the Lord used for writing new songs that would or should be more aggressive and really smashed the ears of their listeners.
Influenced by both the Black Metal and the Heavy Metal Genre they created 8 songs in a mixture of harsh Black Metal and melodic powerful Heavy Metal.
Gorothraug would give his clear voice for two songs to give the music more athmosphere.
Sadly the time was short so it took another year to pass since they started their newest project and even now there is not enough time to do more songs.
With "The Dark Lords Tower" Gorthaur started a new era in their existence.
Dramatic black athmosphere taken from the Dark Lands of Mordor that will make you tremble.Just wait till the Band will start their third and most devestating attack.Chaos is watching over us!!
