Suspect Da Essence is the CEO and founder of the record label L.S.R (Lost Soldiers Records). He started of as just a rapper and returned to the U.K from his second home, St. Lucia, with only a dream and a 30 gig external hard drive in his hand. Suspect then began hustling to make his dream a reality. As things went on he began to realise that he could perhaps build more than just a name for himself, he could also help others with similar dreams to build their's too. He met Theory on the Chelmsford basketball courts and one day decided to explain his future ambitions in a minnor conversation... only to find that Theory was also a rap star dreamer. Suspect then discussed starting up a record label with his best friend "Existance" a.k.a "X" who then supported him. He called the label Lost Soldiers Records as he felt that he was not only striving to be the best rapper he could be, but, he was now also searching for "Lost Soldiers" in the streets (ignored individuals who fight their own battles seldomly). Suspect then started getting his hands onto everything! and producing then became one of his strengths as well as being a rapper and a humble leader. He describes his beat production influence as follows: "The only influence of grime that captured me is the life style, which reminds me of my days at secondary school (but then you can call dat garage). Other dan dat shine, i listen to erryting else extensively on da reals" Suspect claims to have developed two new genres that he believes will compliment the U.K scene standing along side grime, funky house and bassline. Some of this style of production is found on the record labels first block banging mixtape entitled "The Performance". Suspect is still working on his rapping skills and firmly believes that with everything he does, there's always room for improving.
