Blending the metal crunch and attitude from his former life as lead singer of HITTMAN, along with passionate piano and orchestra, shades of cabaret, theater and gospel. The songs make no apologies for their ambition.Written and recorded in his apartment in Long Island City. Dirk wrote the bulk of the songs by himself and some with his sometime musical soulmate Khalid Superstar. Together they played almost all the instruments except for a few guest appearences from close friends Adrian(drums on 6 tracks) and Colin ( Acoustic Guitar & Bass on I don't know love) from (MRNORTH) and Jim Bacchi(HITTMAN, FUZZBUBBLE) bass on The Story Of My Life........Wearing the hats of writer, performer, producer and engineer, the process of making "LIFE IS NOW" took Dirk almost three years to realize and the result is staggering.
