Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody, came about in the spring of 1997. It started one day as I was preparing for my first full concert "Summer SOULstice 1997" (6.21.97). I found a venue to play my music and was really excited to be a part of it. One day about two weeks before the show I get a postcard in the mail saying that concerned citizens of the community will not allow me to perform. As I told my friend (J.A.) about the turn of events, she simply said to me, "I don't know why they shouldn't, you ain't gonna hurt nobody". And that is how it all started. I did play my concert that evening. Located directly across the street is a park, almost like a town center. It was perfect, so I set up shop and played about an hour long set, made $14, and had the police arrive just after the first song. Not a bad way to start. Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody took on many forms over the years and is my basic umbrella for whatever I feel like doing. Right now my main focus is getting acts for the Cantina Del Rio in Old Sacramento. With the start of 2008, 11 years after its inception, AGHN Productions is alive and kicking once again, ready to make a name for itself once and for all!!!
