Aberdeen born cousins Malcolm Whyte and Marcus Rossiter began making music together in 2001 - recording a catalogue of funk-filled ideas on a tape recorder. Whilst inspiration came easily and continuously, life took both lads down separate paths, leading each to different corners of Europe (Denmark and Spain). MASTERS OF THE FUNK N’ VERSE returned home to the Granite City for an exclusive SUMMER OF FUNK Gig in July 08, having recruited Aberdeen pal – iconic and multi-talented front-man Ross Cummings from ‘The Viper Lines’ and cool funky bassist John Jones.
It’s a truly transcontinental band! - only possible in today’s age of cyberspace communication. This high-tech concept perfectly compliments the versatile cutting-edge sound, once described as:
