Tony Malone has a voice that is very warm rich and vibrant and is a treat to the senses as he croons melodies with the smoothness and strength that can only be attributed to his gift from god and polished experience.A much sought after vocalist whose singing career spans three decades, Tony has worked with some of the most leading talents in the music industry from R&B and Soul To Jazz and Reggae...Tony has worked with some of the industries most notable artists from many genres of music, to name a few Tony has opened for The Staple Singers, Evelyn (Champaign ) King , Alexander O’Neal, Force MD’s , Troop, Denise Williams, Stevie Wonder, Peabo Bryson, The Dramatics, Dells, Enchantment, Shanice, Mint Condition, Rene and Angela, Roger and Zapp, Kool and the Gang ,and The Gap Band to name a few, and has performed on most of Chicago’s top stages ,The Park West, Arie Crown Theater, The Chicago Theater, The New Regal Theater ,Taste of Chicago and the Navy Pier Main Stage..His talents have been enjoyed at numerous Chicago summer festivals such as the Salem Super Fest, The Kool Music Festival, The Washington Park Music Fest, The Bud Billikin Day Parade, and the Maywood Music fest.He’s done theater performances with Jackie Taylors (Black Ensemble Theater) in The Otis Redding Story and at the DuSable Museum (Sing Sister Sing) ,a play with Antonio Fargus The famed Huggie Bear of television.Tony sang with one of Chicago’s top Reggae bands (Gypsi Fari)and shared lead vocal duties with Leroy Webster the groups founder and played Clubs like The Wild Hare, Exedus, Fitzgerald’s, The Cubbie Bear, Aragon Ballroom and shared the stage with the likes of Gizzae ,Michael Black, Carl Brown, and YellowMan.Tony wrote and sang in jingles for Ad agencies on the accounts for King Cobra beer ,Ameritech and Sprite.Tony relocated to Phoenix Arizona in 2003 and began singing Jazz, his talents were immediately noticed and he started off his debut in Phoenix working in a major venue there (The Dodge Theater) and began his journey working with the Doc Jones Band,and has worked and collaborated with the talented saxophonist Kerry Campbell..from the group (WAR)In a very his short time from arriving in Phoenix Tony worked and shared the stage with notables like Jazz great Dennis Rowland (previous lead singer with Count Basie’s Orchestra) and sang onstage with Jazz Saxophonist Marion Meadows, he’s played The Ritz Carton, The Kerr Cultural Center, The Scottsdale Center for Performance Arts,and starred in Bubbling Brown Sugar at the Herberger Theater and other venues too numerous to mention.
