About Me
Dinko Simunovic was born on 02/02/1970 in Sarajevo,Bosnia and Hercegivina.After finishing High School of Music,as a doublebass major,in Sarajevo,he enrolled Music Academy at the University of Sarajevo ,also as a doublebass major.He studied with prof.Tihomir Vidovic and prof. Josip Novosel.During the period of 1995-2000 he lived and worked abroad,mainly in Croatia and United Kingdom,performing and touring/recording with many musicians from Europe and US.
Returning to his homeland in 2000,Dinko started to work with the most notable musicians on the Bosnian jazz scene.He was a member of Edin Bosnic Quartet,Sinan Alimanovic Quintet and Sarajevo Big Band,and also made countless apperances,performing and recording with many others as a freelancer or a part-time band member.
Since 2002,Dinko holds a position as a full time member of Bosnia and Hercegovina Radio and Television Big Band (Big Band MP BHRT).
He is now a steady member of SINAN ALIMANOVIC INTERNATIONAL BAND (visit Sinan Alimanovic International Band MySpace).

In addition to his jazz career,Dinko participated in and recorded and performed with many ethno,classical,pop and rock artists and projects.
He also played on the scores and soundtracks for many movies and television shows,including an international award winning movies "Gori Vatra" and "Kod Amidze Idriza".
