-My name is Kate.
-I'm 19 and from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.
-I'm a sophomore at Purdue University.
-My major is Early Intervention; my degree will allow me to work with infants and toddlers with disabilities, as well as their families, to help them adapt and live a "normal" life.
-I love reading, relaxing, and spending time with my family and friends.

My Interests

I love reading. I danced for 14 years, but haven't been able to continue that here at college. I love my friends and family from home; they are the only reason I have developed into who I am today. I enjoy shopping, and I love the Chicago White Sox.

I'd like to meet:

I only really made this thing for the purpose of staying connected with family and friends. If someone else pops up, that's cool, too.

Music:

I like anything that's not too hard on the ears: rock, alternative, hip-hop, pop, jazz, some country, and heavy metal when I'm really angry.

Movies:

Being a girl, I like chick flicks. However, I also like suspense and mystery films, as well as some of those in the indie genre. Comedies are good when I'm in the right mood.

Television:

I like CSI, The Hills, One Tree Hill, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, House, Law and Order, and reruns of shows like Dawson's Creek, Judging Amy, Saved By the Bell, and ER.

Books:

I like murder mystery-type books and memoirs a lot, but I also love fiction books in general. One of my favorite authors is Jodi Picoult; she could write about the most awful thing and make a spectacular novel out of it.

Heroes:

My parents for working so hard to give me all the tools I need and have to succeed.
