Here's the story...
The earliest incarnations of Cerkit can be traced back to 1995 and the purchase of the Roland LAPC-1 for the IBM PC. With this card, the Ballade software, a computer mouse, and laborious effort entering note by note into the scales of the software, music was born! You see, the software supported a MIDI controller, but because he was a poor college student, he couldn't afford one, so the mouse had to do. He wrote a few songs and "published" them under the name "Cerkit" (short for Cerebral Kitchen, a place where ideas were "cooked up").
On to 1999 and the purchase of the Roland Fp-9 Digital Piano and the JV-1010 Sound module piped through a regular PC. The first "album" was recorded with this equipment (Southwest Feelings).
2003 brought with it a few songs created under the album name "Experiments in Music", but most of that music was lost in a hard-drive crash.
On to modern day. All music is recorded using Propellerhead Reason and Acid Pro. Most of his modern work is ambient. He is also doing experimental work with video and the ambient music goes well with the video as a soundtrack. He is also working on more experimental music.
