About Me

Joel Wilson is solo guitarist from Oklahoma City. Originally from Vernon, Texas, he has the heart and sole of a small town country boy. He has been a singer/songwriter for the past two years. Joel developed his love for Red Dirt music by listening to Cross Canadian Ragweed. His influences include CCR, Brandon Jenkins, Stoney Larue, Texas Jack, Randy Rogers Band, and Reckless Kelly. Joel has shared the stage with the likes of Steve Rice and Brandon Jackson of No Justice, The Jackson Taylor Band, Jack Rowdy, and now has joined Gatlin Gates. Joel has played in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and Colorado. He has written many songs and is working on an acoustic cd. His crowd favorites are “Cajun Woman” and “American Ground”, a song he wrote for his brother, James Wilson, who has been over in Iraq for two tours. If you want Joel to play a show, contact him at 405-245-2149 or email him at [email protected].
