HOSTILE AGE is conformed in their beginnings by an experimental trio under the name of SWORD, in the search of an own sound that reflected its passion by viking folklore, taking influences from denser sorts like black and thrash metal. The initial formation obtained to a crude sound of Edwin García and Alonso Godoy in the guitars and Leuder Gaviria in the drums. As a result of the permanent absence of one of his guitarists they find a new member (Andrés Felipe Diaz – vocals/guitar) which incorporates to the band a sound more a little influenced by the Death metal but conserving the original style, giving to passage to the present name of the band that after a year recruit the fourth member (Arley Campo) to the bass interpretation as a slow and rhythmic form bringing to the band a more depressive and melancholic air. With this format is recorded the first demo of the band (“Born howls”) containing four unpublished songs with a test rehearsal sound. After the experience with the participation in unibandas-2007, HOSTILE AGE works in the recording of their first CD, with a ampler and elaborated repertoire without leaving their crudity. This work will be next available to all that feels identified with this proposal. HOSTILE AGE includes in their lyrics deep expressions, result of individual meditations of their members, words of hatred and desperation by means of animal analogies and wild and barbarian expressions, invoking the most worldly and terrenal side of being. Hymns of war and their consequences; glory in triumph and death. Conscientious of the interminable search of the being, who refuses itself to exist without the fastenings of the moral sophisms and that is alienated from its purer and sacred side........................................................ ...........................HOSTILE AGE está conformado en sus inicios por un trío experimental bajo el nombre de SWORD, en la búsqueda de un sonido propio que reflejara su pasión por el folklore vikingo, tomando influencias de géneros más densos como el black y el thrash metal. La formación inicial conseguía un sonido crudo de Edwin García y Alonso Godoy en las guitarras y Leuder Gaviria en la batería. A raíz de la ausencia permanente de uno de sus guitarristas se encuentran con un nuevo integrante (Andrés Felipe Díaz – guitarra/vocal) el cual incorpora a la banda un sonido un poco más influenciado por el Death metal pero conservando el estilo original, dando paso al nombre actual de la banda que luego de un año recluta al cuarto integrante (Arley Campo) para la interpretación del bajo de una forma lenta y cadenciosa trayendo a la banda un aire más depresivo y melancólico. Con este formato se graba el primer demo de la banda (“Born howls”) de cuatro canciones inéditas con un sonido de ensayo. Después de la experiencia con la participación en unibandas-2007, HOSTILE AGE trabaja en la grabación de su primer CD, con un repertorio más amplio y elaborado sin abandonar su crudeza. Este trabajo estará próximamente disponible a todo aquel que se sienta identificado con esta propuesta. HOSTILE AGE incluye en sus líricas expresiones profundas, resultado de meditaciones individuales de sus integrantes, palabras de odio y desesperación por medio de analogías animales y expresiones salvajes y barbáricas, invocando el lado más mundano y terrenal del ser. Himnos de guerra y sus consecuencias; la gloria en el triunfo y en la muerte. Concientes de la búsqueda interminable del ser, que se rehúsa a existir sin las ataduras de los sofismas morales y se enajena de su lado más puro y sacro.
