I am here for Friends

About Me

Let's see,
  My name is Ian.
  I'm 27.
I have a bachelors from the University of Washington.
Two friends and I live together in a West Olympia townhouse.
What I Am: a Metaphysical Naturalist , an Atheist , a Rights Theorist Libertarian , a Moral Objectivist , an Individualist (subscribing to Ethical and Psychological Egoism ) , a proponent for Meritocratic (Anti-Egalitarian) systems and believe in the Intrinsic Inequality of Life (e.g. Cultural Darwinism , Genetic Predisposition , the story of Harrison Bergeron )---I am unapologetically Pro-Choice and Pro-Capital Punishment , an advocate for Intellectualism , an enemy of Censorship and Political Correctness , and appalled by Materialistic Fetishism (i.e. Affluenza ).
I'm a bit of a dichotomy. And, yes, I suppose everyone is at one level or another, but you could say I am at many levels. I am as passionate as I am serene, as impetuous as I am patient, as zealous as I am laidback. I love debate, discussions, a little moral indignation---okay, maybe a lot. But, then, I love watching clouds and the way the wind sways the trees. I love getting my blood to a boil, my eyes flashing and then drop it with a smile and stretching out on a couch to read or watch a movie. Although, I'm sure some might consider that rather frustrating.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I have to warn you: I'm very opinionated and fiercely loyal. I am intolerant of ignorance and uneducated ghetto bullshit. If you're fine with all that, then we'll get along great!

Women's Shoes

This is random, but you know what I hate? The obsession girls have for pointy toed shoes. I mean, do you want to make your feet look freakishly elongated? Do you want to crush and callous your toes...

La mort et Dieu

It has been spoken of, ad nauseam, and covered and disected by individuals better than I; yet I feel it is important to acknowledge just how much I do not care about the deaths of Terri Schiavo or the...

Pet Peeve

If you always say that you're "Keeping it real," trust me: you're not. If you need derivative, puerile colloquialisms to relate just how in tune you are with the urban heartbeat, you are as fake a...

A philosophy of girls

As unimportant as this is, I thought it bore mentioning: One of the most horrific sounds, irritating and truly base in the opinion of myself and every friend I have asked, is the shriekingly obnoxi...

Orchestra

I've been a vision of sophistication and culture, tonight: attending the University Symphony with a book of Dostoevsky in hand. It makes me imagine how much I'd like to attend the orchestra in the...
