Petra

Born on the 11th August 1987, Petra showed an interest in music at a tender age of six when she started taking piano lessons. Taking part in school talent shows, she has discovered her passion for singing and since then she has showed interest in pursuing a singing career. Today Petra forms part of an established jazz band.Her music career is inspired by Alicia Keys; Joss Stone; Stevie Wonder; Ray Charles; Aretha Franklin and Etta James. During 2007, Petra has submitted a Blues song in the Malta Song for Europe Festival and placed with the final ten entries held in Malta in January 2008.For the last year, Petra has been attending Speech Level Singing tuition under the supervision of Joshua Alamu.She is known as one of the top Maltese singers for her rhythm and blues. She is currently working, together with her team at Freetime Productions and Rita Pace as lyrics writer, on her new single ‘Irresponsible’ to be released in the coming weeks.
