Shizzlegizzengarr is Torsten Gaye and Lasse Lane, two former Polka-musicians gone electropop-experimentalists.Music veterans, Shizzlegizzengarr have been playing together since the late 90's. During their early days, Torsten and Lasse played spasmodic, heavysounding Polka, but soon started experimenting with synthezisers, guitars and samplings. Although very busy working with music, very little music was released between 1999 and 2008. In fact, no music was released at all. Sources say the band members poor self esteem and lack of entusiasm were a big factor.
The turning point occured when Torsten and Lasse started watching old clips from Swedish televisioning in the 1980's. Night after night, the talkshow host-heroes' Jonas Hallberg and Staffan Schmidt amazed Torsten and Lasse with their anti-charisma, their huge numbers of on air-screwups and their not-so-funny jokes. Torsten and Lasse then realized, that if Hallberg and Schmidt could get away sucking that bad, so could Torsten and Lasse.
They decided to give music another shot. All of 2007, the band dedicated to making music, and in early 2008, their new record was done. Lasse and Torsten both agreed that their new CD was the best piece of music EVER MADE. And so did their mom's, and their best friend Mattias.
