Echoes of Empire serves progressive rock anthems to your ears, seasoned with other genres- but always to taste. Bombastic and without reservation, EoE delivers the fullest possible sound without any abrasive aftertaste.
EoE arose out of the ashes of Madison rock outfit Grandstand . After some rearrangement and upon adding second guitarist Jasun Karner and drummer Tom Dilworth, as well as alto sax/percussion player Drew Longmire and trumpet player/DJ Matt Hughes, the group wrote new material and has begun playing out for entirely captivated, wall-to-wall crowds.
Jasun and Jon's subsequent departure in July 2008 left the band in search of a new frontman and lead guitarist. After a few months of searching and numerous tryouts the band came across vocal virtuoso Stephen bishop who immediately became the new voice of EoE. Without much luck trying to fill Jasun's place the band decided to forge ahead with Brett playing lead and Stephen picking up some of the rhythm duties. The new songwriting is stronger than ever. You cannot possibly prepare yourself for genre-blending epics that will be unleashed.
The highly energetic and relentlessly danceable live performances of EoE have demonstrated clearly to audiences that this group has a degree of professionalism, musicality, and over-the-top theatrics rare among both local and national acts. What can only be described as "beyond-epic," must be seen to be believed.
Bodies will be moved. Empires will fall.
