"In June 2008 The Pelés formed with lead vocalist Josh Dobson, guitarist Ryan Kirkbride, drummer Chris Cummins and bassist Sam Moxon for a battle of the bands competition. After winning it, their plans changed. What was thought to be a nice slow start to the bands life turned into a race against time, almost good enough to make a film about. They quickly prepared and perfected a set list for their gig at Sheffield's Carling Academy in October, having recorded a demo in the world-acclaimed Peak Studios. In September 2009 bassist Sam Moxon left to study at University so friend of the band Chris Wells took over on bass guitar. What next? The sky is the limit!"
