THE LATEST NEWS!.. CDBABY LINK for TONEFARMER: Meanwhile --

..Tonefarmer's new album "Meanwhile" is now available! Written and recorded over the course of 2006, it has been a purely DIY effort: No deadlines, no studio fees, no exotic locale...just months in front of a PC and a Mac, lots of coffee, lots of Dew, a little wine, and a fair number of visits to the Indian places on Ludlow. Following an unofficial tradition, the new album's artwork is "staying in the family". TF's first disc, 2001's "Recreation", features a painting made by Rob Hamrick (when he was a 10-year-old Picasso) and the spiral staircase photo on 2002's "Where You Go" EP was taken by Chris Mundy on a band trip to London in spring of that year. And straying not too far from home, the new "Meanwhile" CD package features two creations by Chris' talented nephew, Leonardo S. Guagenti. "Meanwhile" was professionally mastered by Andrew Hamilton at Serif Sound, Cincinnati OH (http://www.serifsound.com/) "Meanwhile" CDs are available for purchase at Tonefarmer shows and via CDBaby.com. Downloadable versions are offered by Apple iTunes, MusicMatch, Rhapsody and other online sources. Stay tuned for more details and thanks for visiting!TONEFARMER'S HISTORY:.. ..A shared love of melodic, Brit-inspired pop brought three friends together in July, 2000 and Tonefarmer suddenly came into the worldwith barely a murmur. Initially forgoing the visibility of the club scene, the members of Tonefarmer, Rob Hamrick (guitar, synths, vocals), Chris Mundy (bass, piano, vocals) and John Miracle (drums, percussion, vocals) cocooned in their practice space and crafted their debut album, "Recreation", part of which was recorded at Cincinnati's Ultrasuede studio with John Curley (former Afghan Whigs) at the helm. The Recreation CD helped win the band a few regional accolades including a Cincinnati Enquirer CAMMY Award, a CityBeat CEA Award nomination, and a place in the top-20 unsigned artists list posted by one of the country's most influential indie music stations, WOXY FM (woxy.com). Meanwhile, over in the U.K., the prestigious web music presence PeopleSound.co.uk was also taking notice, frequently including Tonefarmer in its Top 20 Best Artists category. The band's sophomore effort was recorded after an unusual opportunity came calling. After several months of planning and perseverating, Tonefarmer found themselves in London, happily ensconced in Brixton's Dairy Studio with a young recording wiz named Pete Lewis, whose engineering and production credits include Pulp, Sting, Elton John, Julia Fordham, Massive Attack, Everything But the Girl, James, Goldfrapp and many other UK notables. Despite a few "we're not worthy" moments in the weeks leading up to the session, everything went just as it should once the band teamed with Lewis. The resulting 6-song EP, "Where You Go" (2003) continues to sell at a comfortable pace through CDBaby.com and Apple iTunes. This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor MySpace Profile Editor I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
