Influences: "For those of you who know me, it's good to be back. For those of you who don't know me, I'm glad to have met you."Who is Dan Saura?Maine East'ers remember me as an aspiring sportscaster.Columbia College Music Dept. people remember me as an aspiring jazz saxophonist.I'd like to say I'm both guys wrapped up into one.I still am a big sports guy as I have to have my daily dose of sportscenter. These days, I've evolved into a boxing enthuiast in addition to my football, basketball, and baseball accumine.I had a run of the jazz scene in Chicago in performing in not only my own small combo, but in a group called "Equinox5" as well.I graduated college in May of 2004 and took to the sales field and have now evolved as a 3rd generation banker. My grandfather was in banking when he came to America from the P.I. and my father followed suit. Figure Id follow the footsteps.Boxing and MMA is a big part now of who I am. I currently reside as a voluntary boxing coach at the Dragon Academy/Ryu Combat Club. Behind those walls are some of the hardest workers who know hard work and dedication come from one great place within . . . heart. I hope to send a few of them as champs in the Chicago Golden Gloves in 09. But these are my brothers and sisters, and I love them very much.In spite of my joy of boxing and banking, my passion is music. My love is music. My life is music.
