About Me
Hello there and welcome to my personal Myspace page. I only have one Myspace so any other accounts with my face on them are fake. Now that’s cleared up, here is abit about myself (if you want to know.)
I originally come from Glasgow, East End to be exact. (yes that’s right, the place with the highest murder rate in Europe.) The scummy, smelly place is where I spent my childhood years avoiding broken glass, knives, neds (or chavs) and gang fights and is the place where I called home (or still do actually.)
So with that experience, I have grown up being a strong minded, tough skinned individual, who doesn’t take shit from anyone who stupidly tries. But I wouldn’t change my childhood for the world, and I am even going to be moving back there from Motherwell very soon now that I have finished college. Glasgow pretty much has my life in it: further education, the clubs, jobs and friends/family =]
I’m 20 years young (although I am mentally 5 and half yrs old) and I have finished my HND computer arts + design course. Currently, I am looking for a job for a stable income while I work on my digital port folio. After 2 and a half years at college, I still felt as though I wanted and needed to know more to work in the industry, as my course was so diverse that we didn’t really get the chance to learn one software before working on another. My college was very crap - I didn’t feel like they taught us much as all, but they ironically expected high standards from us. But the advantage of it was that it gave me the motivation to learn how to master the skills needed for me to do my work in a high and professional standard.
The Present:
Right now, life is peachy. I have a lot of plans but nothing is set on stone too far ahead into the future. In my own eyes, my life has just begun in the terms that I have finished college and I want to fly from the nest sort of thing. Life is what you make of it, you cant expect good things to be just handed to you, you have to fight for it. I am going to focus on self promotion and giving it my all. But most of all, I want to be happy. Because that is what life is all about after all, isn’t it? To live, love and learn.
Creativity:
College has taught me one thing though that I will give it credit for; it has opened my eyes on the world of digital art, web design and animation. I now have the incentive to try everything at least once. My art is a lot of mixed media, I like to use both my art that I do on paper and mix it with digital art. I also love to do photo manipulation which can be seen in “My art†album. Most of the images in that are produced during my free time, experimenting and improving my skills.
Modelling
I have been modelling for more than 3 years now doing casual to artistic nude. At the moment I do not currently need anymore TFCP pictures for my port folio, however I will consider the odd shoot if I think it will benefit my port folio. On every shoot I have done, I have never get less than 110% positive feedback. I approach my shoots professionally, and I can give the option to the photographer on having any preferred look, style, clothing, choice of hair colour etc to choose from. I am good on using my own initiative, so little direction is needed. Last year I did take a back seat from the scene to focus on my college work but it was then that I got the most surprises such as being published in BIZARRE magazine (as the 4th editorial favourite to become cover girl.) But in 2009 I am going to be making a comeback with a vengeance and create a kick ass new port folio.
Hair & Make up
Being able to do my own hair and make up for a shoot does have its advantages; as its very rarely that a MUA has to be involved. A while ago I was asked to do make up in a photo shoot for a photographer. I haven't done it before but it got me thinking on why the hell not? So if you wish to have make up or hair done by me then that is fine also. I do have experience of doing hair and make up but not for a photo shoot, but mainly for friends/family on a night out. Just give me plenty of notice, and cover any costs spent on buying make up for your shoot.
Photography
I do actually like to stand behind the camera as well as the front of it. The only thing stopping me is the fact that I don’t have a decent camera to work with (yet) and I cant afford one right now being a unemployed and all. However I will need models in the future for my own project which involves photography to digitally manipulate. I hoping on being able to purchase a good camera over the summer so that I can do photo shoots for people and for my Lips Of Sin promotions.
Digital Art
I can touch up your pictures, edit them, make them cool, make motion pictures, album covers, banners, backgrounds, posters, website, basically do anything you wish you want me to do to them. Nothing is impossible when it comes to digital art I have my HND digital art and design qualification but in total I have had around 5 years of graphic design practise. I have been asked many times by people to edit their pictures, sorry but I cannot afford to do it for free anymore, my time is pretty much full. Only sometimes if I have the time and its nothing too big then will I edit something for you. Make sure that you have ownership on your image/s before sending them to me though please.
Posters
I am now willing to sell posters to you. Each poster will be printed in high quality definition on an A3 gloss sheet. If you message me enquiring about this then I can tell you what pictures I have that are available to buy. Each poster is £20. I will also consider custom themes. This means that you can enquiry a certain themed shoot/make up/style/clothing and I will arrange a photoshoot and send you the best picture from that set. Each custom poster will be £25. Includes postage and packaging. If you live outside the Uk, then P&P may differ.
Web Design
That’s right, I am now available to design your website using Dreamweaver and/or Flash. I always use the latest updated software to create my websites. I will soon have examples when I have completed my own personal website. Prices may vary - but cost will be cheap as I am starting out and will be using your website as an example for clients.
