Pilaging and Plundering and Being vile and vulgar are always fun. My cat is highly interesting; she scratched the palm of my hand and now i have another lifeline. I am very much a dork, recently I have discovered that I enjoy math, no matter how many wrong answers I get. I like nerdy boys.....grrrowl. However, I'm in this strange mood lately where I don't think men/males/boys are intelligent and they are selfish, lazy self centered maroons! I'm sure I'll get out of this mood once I'm proven wrong. I've been waiting three years and counting. Come On Boys, Prove me wrong! Lets see I find conversating with people who follow all rules, question nothing, and don't have independent thoughts difficult. I really have to censor myself around these people, so I try not to be around them. Mostly I'm anti-social, the kind where you don't really talk to people, not the diagnosable one where you have no conscious, however, pour me something tasty and intoxicating and I become fun....usually. I'm more of a binge drinker, don't like to waste time. Get me where I'm supposed to be......fast! Got so drunk I lost my phone. Should be a song. I like Mississippi Delta Blues, the story of Robert Johnson....Enid from the comic/movie Ghost World is based on me. It's too fucking freaky. There are so many similarities; tiny detailed ones, like the model of tv used in the movie was the one I grew up with, to the song that got her into the blues. "Devil Got My Woman." I would say that Enid was me in High School.
align=center You Are 35% American
America: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly an upside down flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch! FUCKER!!!!
How American Are You?
You're Bettie Page!
What Classic Pin-Up Are You? ...
I have a radio station online that pretty much answers this question. It's pretty good I think. Indie music, blues, jazz, eclectic mix. Tom Waits, elliot smith, Mississippi John Hurt, Robert Johnson, Zero 7, johnny cash, rage against the machine, Pink Martini, shins, yeah yeah yeahs, Nick Drake, horrorpops, Sinatra, Beethoven, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Tom Jones, Mazzy Star, Le Tigre, Billie Holiday, Nirvana, The Doors (i was "the doors girl" in high school), rolling stones, beck, digable planets, nin, money mark, portishead, gotan project, mozart, lovage, patsy cline, peggy lee, jimi hendrix, radiohead, madelaine peyroux, and more I have yet to discover I'm sure.
I love quirky/artsy/pulp(y?) movies: taxi driver, sexy beast, snatch, quills, sid and nancy, buffalo 66, dogma, usual suspects, pulp fiction, requiem for a dream, fear and loathing in las vegas, ghost world, royal tenenbaums, batman, se7en, punch drunk love, stand by me, pi, office space, sin city, amelie, basquiat, way of the gun, drugstore cowboy....a bunch more i can't remember. i forgot to mention my increasingly unhealthy infatuation with Benicio Del Toro. I love him....I really really do! I actually saw him once on the street. I literally couldn't breathe and I broke out in a sweat. We were in different lanes and he was on the phone, he didn't even see me. Whew, is it hot in here?!
Hi, my name is rosa and I'm addicted to television. If it were up to me I'd be at home watching whatever makes me numb. To allow me to actually live my life I purchased a TIVO. This allows me to watch my favorite programming on the weekends. Godam! the best invention ever!!!!!! Most people find this funny: I don't have cable. What the hell do you Tivo you may ask. There are several quality programming shows on network television, like: House, Lost, Medium, Arrested Development (i miss you, come back!), CSI (anytown USA), Law and Order SVU, ER (I hated it when I actually worked in one; now I think it makes me remeniscent), Family Guy, The Office, My Name is Earl. Reruns: Seinfeld, Simpsons, King of the Hill. oh yeah I like nature shows. Who gets Tivo and records Jeff Corwin Animal Adventures? I do!
books? who has time to read? my nose is pretty much in math books these days. i just discovered podcasts. good for grabbing some culture on the commute home. Lets see....Currently I'm reading and participating in a very dry book by Zumadahl it's called Introduction to Chemistry. Since this is what my reading material is these days I'll list some authors that I've read and admired in the past. However, I must mention my favorite book. this is far from original, i know, but I feel like this book largely shaped my personality and beliefs: To Kill A Mockingbird. Admired authors/book titles: Jack Kerouac, Eugene O'Neil, Plato, Faust, Dante's Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradise, Hunter Thompson, Oscar "Zeta" Acosta, Sylvia Plath, Neitzsche, Dostroyevsky (sp), Marx, Franz Kafka, Oscar Wilde, more that I'll list when I'm not so far away from my books. I like to read classic literature and philosophy books. Wish I had more brain capacity and time for this. I'm highly fascinated with devil stuff, this probably comes from my strict Catholic upbringing. Devil stuff meaning the subjects of exorcism, possession, films like omen, exorcism, etc. I find it fascinating that most cultures have their own form of hell.
