About Me

I'm just a guy trying to get some FX work in Ohio. I went to school at Tri-C for a few quarters, transferred to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and graduated with an associates degree in '99. Self teaching myself all the things I didn't get in school, which is much more rewarding. Working on machining skills currently. I can't stand doing the same thing day in day out which is what attracted me to special effects. Some of the other aspects are interesting as well, problem solving, the creative process that's involved, and the big payoff when it all comes together. You can see my site here as well as the my blog that goes into a little more of the process on certain things.I think I was born about a hundred years too late. I'd be more at home on a farm. Given the chance I'd take a large chunk of land in the middle of nowhere, set up a small house, a farm, and probably build a hobbit house or something like it. I'm not necessarily a raving environmentalist, but the things we're doing don't quite make sense. Do they?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I think I'd like to sit down for a few days with religious figures, Jesus, Mohammad, Moses, and some of the others. Get the straight scoop from them. Beyond that, Da Vinci would be interesting to talk to. Maybe some of the American founding fathers. Tesla. Benjamin Franklin. People who had that strange mix of insanity and drive, the ones that have pushed us forward.

My Blog
