However, rather than illustrate the big picture (riots, protests, press conferences), "In the Land of Wicked Gods" will focus on the lives of three individuals - a music teacher, a college dropout, and a former soldier - as each of them face being pushed into a war they did not choose to be a part of.
Directed by actor Brandon Slagle, it is presented in a way that can make this situation apply to ANY war (rather than simply the current one). The film's intentions are to show the human side of this dilemma, rather than the worldwide repercussions, and how it affects the lives and mentalities of those involved - as well as the people immediately around them. It is being presented from a non-partisan, progressive point of view.
