About Me

I'm just your average twenty-something girl.
Okay. I'm not so average. But I have ten fingers and ten toes, which they tell me is normal.
I'm nearly twenty seven. I'm a transplant to Huntsville, Alabama, by way of Seattle. I live here with my husband, who relocated here for work.
I went to school to be a veterinary assistant. All my life I've been an animal lover, and I feel like I have chosen an education very well suited to my passions. We have a houseful of pets, and all are very spoiled. I wouldn't have it any other way. We have eight ferrets (yes, I'm serious and no, I'm not insane), three cats, two dogs, and a turtle.
In just a few short weeks, I am starting school at UAH. I'm taking my passion for animal health to the next step. I'm going into a pre-veterinary program. I feel great about this. I'm nervous as hell, but also more excited than I can say. It's about time I did this, and I'm beyond ready.

Rockstars and smart guys with strong jaws and pretty faces and big muscles. Haha.
Seriously, though, I'd love to make some friends locally, find people who share my interests and views. I love to cook, and enjoy inviting my friends over for meals and movies. I'm all about a good time. I've been discovering some more of the fun things to do in Huntsville (there actually are some! I was shocked, too!). Lately, I've been visiting a few of the 'cool' hang out type places here- by cool, I mean the kind I'd go to and maintain my sanity. Coffee shops, nice bars, indie music venues, little sanctuaries of liberalism. Heh.
Lately, I've been reconnecting with a lot of old friends, too, and that's been awesome. It's always great to find out what old friends are up to.

You should go to my LiveJournal. Its where I do the writing. Trying to keep up two journals online is tedious and kind of lame. So its all over there.
