For over 50 years, The Hood Plant in downtown Burlington, was the milk bottling & distribution center for HP HOOD INC in VT. In 1998, Metropark LLC purchased the 17,000 square foot building from HP Hood and converted it into a mixed-use rental property and parking lot. The funky space houses: a photo studio, hemp clothing designer, graphic design/brand identity house, website designers, musicians, a pottery studio, artists, painters, glassblowers, an architect, and to keep the place glued together, a Buddhist meditation center and The Hood Plant Psychotherapy office.In 2005, The Hood Residences Condominium was completed. Metropark worked with Timeline Architecture to create a sculptural 9-unit structure, clad in copper & cedar shake.
