I'm happilly married!!!!!!! what else do you need to know! nah, just kidding! I have 2 wonderful children. Liz is 5 and Mary is 2!. My husband is in the US Navy and has only 2 years left and he'sot sure if hes going to stay in or not. My in laws live here in VA as well but i only talk to a few members of that family! my sis in law is cool and my bro in law just graduated from boot camp for the army and married into a interesting family! my grandmother in law (mama jean) is a very sweet and funny and is grieving for her husband who passed away last march 2005 (RIP Bossman, we love you and miss you so much) and my other grandmother in law and grandfather in law, they are sweet as well, unfortunately grand-daddy kiger has been diagnosed with cancer so please say a prayer for him. i Get along with my in laws very well, we've become very close! As far as my husband getting out of the Navy, I on the other hand would rather him stay in cause we have such good benefits and the kids need them but i'll support his decision either way! I work in Virginia Beach. I've been here for a little over 3 years now. I started out working a switchboard and now my job included making contract and listing packages, inputing listings, editing listings, typing up agreements between builders and updating all of our information sheets involving staff and agents. I also do side work for some of the agents in my office which is bulk mail, its spending money for me and my girls, LOL.Hopefully a position with open up for me in the office soon other then the switchboard! My husbands 4 year mark is on nov. 7, 2005 but he still has 2 years left. Hes very anxious to get out but everyone is and is still considering staying in. Me and thomas have been together a long time, been a long road, lot of regrets, he has more then me, lol, but we have fun, We have rid our lives of people that have done nothing but try and cause trouble. Mostly people in his past, lol, but whats new, everyone has a past and do not fault him for the fuck ups he has in his, lol. we have a fun relationship and were a happy family. We just purchased a time share and we are buying a house in march of next year. We dont like drama so if you have drama, steer clear from us!Another sleepless night for me Alone upon our bed I see again his every move And those last words he said.So proud he looked in uniforn Convinced that he was right He had to go, for duty called There was a war to fight.Those last few days before be left I hid the pain inside We talked and loved and even joked He never knew I cried.And when the dreaded moment came He kissed me tenderly His eyes met mine and then he said, "I'll be all right, you'll see."I tried to smile and nod my head Afriad to let him see The terror that I feared if he Did not come back to me.His precious children hugged his neck He told them to be good And help their mommy out at home And mind her like they should.They were too young to realize That Dad would not be there To tuck them in their beds at night Or listen to their prayers.I see him as he walked away I tried to say "good-bye" But the words were trapped within my throat All I could do was cry.The weeks have stretched now into months And every night I pray That God will keep him in his care And bring him home one day.I do not moan beneath the load Of all that I must do My children will see strength in me Until this way is through.At last I drift off to sleep In dreams I see him more I turn around and smile to hear His footsteps at the door.Restless I sleep, and then I wake Not opening my eyes I move my hand to reach for him But no one near me lies.I will not give in to despair With each new day I'll cope For I know he would want me to Be brave and live with hope.I hear the voices loud and strong Who criticize the war While yelling men are fools to go They stay on freedom's shore.The man who cowers under fear Will die a thousand deaths While men like mine for freedom fight And offer their last breaths.I hope prehaps in fifty years When men remember war They wont forget the wives who dreamed Of footsteps at the door~Gwen C.
