Loosemotive

LOOSEMOTIVE (originally (The) Collapse) was formed in Saint-Petersburg in August, 2006. In their first year the band managed to join the new wave of rock bands in the city which is considered to be the rock capital of Russia and is associated with all actual musical tendencies. At the same time LOOSEMOTIVE successfully developed their own original sound. Their emotional, sometimes hard style formed at the intersection of alternative rock, indie, post-punk (new wave), noise etc. Peculiar vocal parts and frequent alternation of rhythmic structures had become the dominant element of LOOSEMOTIVE’s sound. From the very beginning LOOSEMOTIVE showed themselves as a live band giving frequent shows . Besides giving solo concerts, LOOSEMOTIVE played with a number of famous bands including DeadKeds, Eskimo, S.H.I.V.A., Port(812), Ber-Linn, Arttester, Equal Minds Theory (Moshpit), Sound Arkada (Latvia). They also played as a support band with Nebo Zdes (Moscow) – Russian alternative rock stars. In spring 2007 LOOSEMOTIVE’s musical material was released as a debut EP “Glavnoe” distributed in a D.I.Y way. This record increased popularity of LOOSEMOTIVE among c lub audience. At present LOOSEMOTIVE are working on their first album, which will reflect the new stream in the band’s music. During their first year LOOSEMOTIVE have recommended themselves as an original, contemporary and promising band.
