The Caterpillar Book

About Me

Ry, Dan and Kris have been playing together for 17 years since they met as students at William Paterson University. Two CD’s and several band names later, Vern joined the group which is now named, "The Caterpillar Book." This diverse group of musicians collectively represent every era of rock and roll from its beginnings to the present. Each brings the influences of his musical upbringing to the sound of The Caterpillar Book. Individually, members of the band have shared the stage and/or performed with such luminaries as The Beatles, Donna Summer, The Smithereens, Steve Winwood, The Beach Boys, the J Geils Band, Too Much Joy, The Connells, Space Hog, Ivy, Cake, Black 47, Us3, The Toasters, and the list goes on........... As well as being multi-instrumentalists, all the band members are songwriters and singers which further contributes to the unique mix heard in their original material. "Our goal is to express ourselves as musicians and artists through songs that touch the heart and soul, make you laugh, make you think, and make no musical or philosophical compromises." The Caterpillar's Book's first CD, "Maybe This Summer" will be out sometime in early fall. Meanwhile, please enjoy some of our vintage 90's tunes as Sandbox and The Skat Back Ribs
