Lars

Lars Karlin, Musician/Tromboneplayer/ArrangerLars Ragnar Karlin was born in 1983 in Borläge, Sweden. His Family are Mother Anette Karlin, older sister Maria Karlin, older brother Per Karlin, younger brother Hans Karlin.He began playing the trombone under Hans-Göran "Bullas" Olsson at the "Kommunala Musikskolan" in Borlänge, Sweden. After that studies were made in the Music class at Forssaklackskolan in Borlänge, The COnservatory of Music in Falun Sweden, The Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover. His professors have been: Hans-Göran Olsson, Sven-Erik Eriksson and Jonas Bylund. Lars won in year 2003, 2nd prize in the 2nd National Solo Brassband Competition in Stockholm. He also won 2nd prize at the International Trombone Competition in Lieksa, Finland 2008.As a chambermusician Lars is a Member of the Hanover Trombone Unit, an ensemble with a wide range of performing.Besides the trombone, Lars is an active arranger for brassensembles. His arrangements are often played and performed worldwide by leading ensembles.
