I've been playing guitar and bass for ages and have been dabbling with synthesizers from the days of analog 'dinosaurs'.
With today's technology the possibilites to do interesting stuff seem endless ... And this is one of the reasons why my personal working process is long and not overly productive.
I tend to often loose myself somewehere on the path to a new composition and suddenly find myself doing stuff I never had intended to and - as I'd call it - "finding the unsought".
However, these digressions lead to many songs never being completed :-)
The older I get the more I feel that it's more about the "movies being played in your head" when you're listening to music than everything else.
If music doesn't create pictures for me as a listener it doesn't 'speak' to me. Therefore, the goal behind my own music is to evoke exactly this kind of mental movies and take the listener somewhere.
If it does - goal achieved - musician happy :-)
And by the way, in case you wonder why some of my stuff sounds 'conventional' whereas other may sound a tad 'weird' or 'different' - it's simply because I love doing both! :-)
I'm really interested to know what you think of my stuff, so your comment would be highly appreciated! Thanks for listening! :-)
