The second largest city in New England, Worcester MA has long been known for a high unemployment rate, as well as it's expansive and diverse local music scene. Established in 2003, DEVOID has seen it's share of bands (and musical trends) come and go, on their way to becoming one of the longest tenured acts in town. As this 4-piece hard rock band has grown and evolved from their young, angry metal/hardcore roots to their current brand of driving melody and crushing hard rock, one thing has remained a constant, and that is their personal commitment to making music that is true to themselves and their fans.
With over 5 years experience performing and writing music together, DEVOID joined forces with new front man Matt Piaseczny in the fall of 2008. Also a well known local musician, Matt P has brought a new energy to the band, and has quickly won over fans both old and new with his impassioned vocal delivery and live performance.
DEVOID has just released an EP entitled "Burn For Free", featuring 3 songs which will be on their upcoming album, planned for a release in the summer of 2009. A completely independent act, DEVOID currently books all of their own shows and handles all of their own business affairs and distribution without the aid of management or record labels.
