I'm a 32-year old Physical Therapist with a unique personality, good head on his shoulders and great sense of humor. I'm a picker (literally), I'm a grinner, I'm a lefty; who isn't a sinner? I (often) play my music in the sun. I'm a joker, non-smoker, occassionally a midnight strok...I'm really just tryin' to have fun. I love trying to make people laugh. People take life way too seriously so I like to try and help them remember sometimes you just have to smile, laugh, enjoy yourself and not give a rat's arse (that's Celtic for a$$) what someone else thinks or says about you. I'm fairly easy going and very tolerant but if you tap dance on the landmine long enough it will go off. I'm very loyal and trustworthy but once you cross the line, I'll drop you like a bad habit. I appreciate honesty, integrity, sincerity, fidelity, morality, equality and many other things that do and don't end it 'ity'. Above all, honesty is at the top of the list. I'm confident but not cocky, arrogant or condescending and I am by no means a pushover mentally or physically (but feel free at any time to test that). I have to thank for this the wonderful parents and family who raised me to respect others and never give up on anything I want to pursue or accomplish.
I love hearing stories about people perservering through adversity because it helps me put things into perspective when I compalin about something trivial. I have learned over the past few years through personal struggles that there is nothing I cannot overcome and I am without a doubt a better person as a result. I can be moody and very stubborn but I won't take my frustrations out on a friend or significant other because I'm usually fairly 'emotionally intelligent'. Still... I'm not perfect so if I have had my head up my rear end I'm not too proud to admit when I'm wrong and apologize for it. I always try to do my best to listen to and understand someone's point of view or mental frame of reference in a discussion, disagreement or debate because I may just learn something from listening. My closest friends know that there's nothing I will not do for someone if they truly are in need. Whenever I'm struggling with something or need a diversion, I turn on a funny movie, television show, my iPod or I run. On those days when my butt drags I'll walk, get in my car and just drive or fish. Over the past year or so (with the help of a good friend) I have once again discovered fishing to be one of the most relaxing and stress relieving things to do for several reasons...
All of the above help me alleviate stress, think about my day, or contemplate life in general and they're much healthier alternatives to the routes some people choose.
I'm a very family oriented person & believe that one's upbringing strongly dictates (but doesn't determine) their success in relationships and life. If you're the type to assume things, youw'll only make an a$$ out of "U" cause I either won't stick around long enough or tolerate you doing it to "me". I have yet to post all of my philosophies, thoughts, ideas, random tangents, hopes, fears and dreams on here because some things are just too personal to share with everyone, but look for my book "Random Crap: Happenings & Blatherskite" in a local bookstore near you real soon. I try not to be on here all that frequently cause I'd like to think life consists of more than sitting in front of a computer all night and besides that could give me Cro-magnon man posture (pictured below). Since I am a PT I have to practice what I preach. If you want to know more about me... just ask and I may tell you what you want to know.
A new quote I recently heard that I really and truly admire is as follows...
“Don’t tell people how to live their lives, tell them stories and they’ll figure out along the wayâ€
walking down an unknown highway not feelin' alone....
thinking back when things went my way, and not the road I'm on
well I've been down a time or 2... but it never lasts long...
I can always make it through on a wing and a prayer and a SONG
ain't it funny how a melody...can bring back a memory
take you to another place in time...completely change your state of mind.
it can make a right from a wrong it can make you fall in love
it can get you singin' along chase the clouds away
and make the sun shine above.
