.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Jake Barden is a Jazz Saxophonist from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. He is now 16 and has performed not only nationally but internationally. In 2008 he played at one of the world’s finest Jazz Festivals, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. He also played at Jazz à Vienne in France, Paris Disney Land in France, the Berlin Jazz Festival in Germany and various other venues throughout Europe.
This year the Jake Barden Trio played at the Mosaic Music Festival in Singapore.
Jake is in Year 12 at Matthew Flinders Anglican College in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast and is taught by Mark Spencer. He has played with some of the world's best Musicians such as Mike Stern, Bob Mintzer, Jimmy Haslip, Marcus Baylor, Bob Franceschini, Don Burrows, John Morrison, Blaine Whittaker, Johnny Nicol, Harry Angus from The Cat Empire, Gil Askey (Original Motown Member), Bob Montgomery, Dan Barnett, Matt Baker, Jacki Cooper, Bob Barnard, Kevin Hunt and many more.
