If you were them you would probably not be here. People would say that bands aren't faced with so many obstacles. People would say that they should probably give in. But they would tell you giving in is not an option. For they are sons of chaos, And the ride has only just begun!
The story Begins with just two sons Lee Timmins (Guitars) and Pat Cox (Bass, vocals) meeting for the first time in Birmingham, England at a college for musicians in October 2003. To be in a band together was obvious from the start with similar influences and a forward driven passion for heavy metal they began the Journey to realising there visions of creating something special and different from what was around at that time. With both Pat and Lee joining other bands together and apart it was not long before they realised what they had to do. Build what was to become sons of chaos from the ground up. They wrote there first song "Reborn" defining there change in direction.
This was where the obstacles took place in the shape of a drummer. Audition after audition taking months and months out of the steamrolling progress of the band hindered there every turn. What can they do without a drummer? The answer everyone knew was… Nothing. It was July 2005 before they knew it and no sign of the final peace to there band but they were not about to give in. Help was just around the corner when Pat met and befriended well known metal drummer of stampin ground Neil "Steel" Hutton and convinced him to play on the first sons of Chaos demo.
It was the best it had been in the chaos camp with 2 months to prepare for the demo which was recorded in September 2005 at rhythm studios in Stafford, England. Adrenalin was high at this point, having Great feedback from the local area it was nearly time for the farewell of drummer Neil. But not before the first ever sons of chaos gig at Edward's number 8 in Birmingham on april 27th 2006. At this point in the bands early life they had a demo with 3 highly talked about songs in the Birmingham area and A high recommendation and offer to record with the highly acclaimed producer Andy Sneap who has produced such bands as Trivium, Killswitch engage and Arch enemy to name but a few.
In early 2007 sons of chaos recorded an e.p of 6 songs at grindstone studios in suffolk with producer scott atkins (stampin ground) , sortley after they recurited friends simon jones and dan rose to complete the bands line up.
Their time is now and Sons of chaos have there sights set very high. They have a new ep of 6 songs which will appear to download on such websites as itunes music store and napster, they have had interest from various nationwide metal magazines and a brand new website.
Things are at a very exciting time for the band. The race is now on to obtain that record contract and show the world what they have to offer. The future is burning bright for sons of chaos. The time has come for change in British metal For it is now a time for chaos!
