Myspace Layouts Lish Lindsey is a flutist (modern and Baroque) residing in NYC and NJ and freelancing in NY, NJ and PA. She has performed in the United States, China and England. Performance venues include Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center (NYC), Kennedy Center (Washington, DC), Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater and Commonwealth Plaza (Philadelphia), New Jersey State Theatre, Trenton War Memorial, New Jersey Performing Arts Center and others.
Lish is currently principal flutist for 2008-2009 season with the Pottstown Symphony in PA. Live Pottstown performances (as piccoloist) were broadcast on Philadelphia's WHYY radio (Showcase) in October 2005, October 2006 and February 2007. Lish can be found performing with the Lancaster and Harrisburg Symphonies, the Riverside Symphonia, the Masterworks Choir and Orchestra, Center City Opera Theater and Orchestra Society of Philadelphia. She recently toured with the Strauss Symphony of America and performed at Avery Fisher Hall @ Lincoln Center (NYC), Kennedy Center (DC), Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater and Commonwealth Plaza (Philadelphia) and NJ State Theatre. Lish also performs with the Orchestra Society of Philadelphia under the direction of Jack Moore and various guest conductors. She is the flutist with the wind quintet, 5 for Dinner and Play By Heart Ensemble.
Lish was a finalist/runner up in the Opera Company of Philadelphia's auxiliary flute/piccolo audition in 2007 and won a flute/piccolo position with the Rome Festival Orchestra in 2004 which selects musicians and singers via international audition. Lish was a scholarship recipient to the C.W. Post Chamber Music Festival and the International FAME Festival. Lish performed as soloist with the American Boychoir and Princeton Girlchoir at the National Choral Conference in 2003.

Lish is piccoloist with the Eastern Wind Symphony and has performed on at least 14 CDs of wind music over the past 7 years. She was involved with the last cd project composer Alfred Reed recorded and conducted prior to his passing and was a soloist in the most recent release, Wind Tableaux. Lish also has ties with the Wind Symphony of Southern NJ, the Tri County Wind Symphony and the Cumberland County Wind Symphony.

Contemporary/new music performances were with New Music and Dance Ensemble and New Music Repertoire Ensemble at New York University. (Lish is always looking for new projects that embrace new ideas and ways of hearing/viewing music! Email if you have something interesting that needs a flute!)

Lish has studied with Julius Baker, Dr. Brad Garner, David DiGiacobbe, Dr. Dent Williamson, David Ancker and Ronna Ayscue. Additional lessons were taken with Keith Underwood, Jeff Khaner, David Cramer and Adeline Tomasone. Quintet and chamber coaching were with Matt Sullivan, Roger McKinney, George Balog, Vanita Jones, Alan Gilbert and Haewon Kim.
Lish was selected via audition to perform at two master classes (piccolo with Stephanie Mortimore and flute with Leone Buyse) sponsored by the New York Flute Club at the New York Flute Fair. Lish also performed in the Steve Tanzer piccolo master class sponsored by the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia. Other master classes include performances for Goran Marcusson, Jill Felber, Jeff Khaner, Sandy Church, Philippe Pierlot, Nobataka Shimizu, Keith Underwood and others. Julius Baker personally invited Lish to attend his master classes in CT which she attended as a performer during two summers. Lish was also selected as a performer at the Cincinnati Flute Symposium.

As a teacher Lish is on the faculty at the Bronx House School of Performing Arts, Paramus Community Music School, is a teacher for Musical Associates in Manhattan and teaches privately in New York and New Jersey.
