Just Like Me - SunnySideWhen you think of the rap scene in Boston a lot of names arise. Dre Robinson, LT, Lou Armstronng, Mass Pike Miles, Smoke Bulga, and a whole list of other talented artists. For a long time it seemed that Boston wouldn't find its place in this saturated industry but it seems like slowly but surely more and more people from this the Boston area are making a name for themselves. In a city overrun by violence, drugs, crooked officers, and a generation of youth that we aren't seen rising above the image that the media portrays. We've come to a time where there is no choice but to turn to heart felt music with pure substance; this is where members of Sunnyside Music Group come in, ladies and gentleman I present to you Sunnyside!!!Alot of rap acts consists of multiple talents who are usually put together by a label, but this groups history extends far longer than that. From running around the city of Boston as young teenagers, they all knew each other but never, would they think, they'd change the world by forming a group together and invading the music industry. Not being able to deal with the consistency of wack music being put out Capital Mass was at home thinking one day that he needed to do something about this before the industry fell apart. He remembered a while back that he wsawKlass in a freestyle battle and decided that he should give him a call because he had liked the young mans passion and determination. He got R-Klass on the phone everything else was history. They talked about the current state of the game, decided that they should start their own label and do everything themselves, and thats exactly what they did. They bought all the equipment from the Pro tools to the mic, to the mixer, to the keyboard, and sooneverything became official.Their drive caught the eye of young man by the name of Veau. He decided that he liked their movement and decided to join in as well. From there it was a 4 day a week thing; Going into the basement of C. Mass' house and working hard until they were too exhausted to continue. At this constant rate they were recording about ten tracks a week and developing a good sense of self esteem, little did they know they had much more in store. While talking to the latest member of the group Clizzarelli, C. Mass found out that he also was interested in making music, so he told him to come down to the studio one day and, "we'll see what happens".... Mind you, these gentleman have only been making music for a year but the susbstance of their music and the soul that they portray makes it seem as if these guys have years under their belt. With their first mixtape dropping soon titled "Check The Weather Vol. 1" be sure to expect great things from these guys as they open up and give you music straight from the heart. It's time to take a stand against all wack MC'S. A new movement is about to take place, so hold on to ya'll seats and hop on the bandwagon because the wait is over....
