About Me

I live in the woods in an unfinished stone cottage with a big stone tower. I live on a 105 acre community with my family and a few more cool people. I have an outhouse, no running water, and only 15 amps of electricity and I prefer it that way.I also play washboard, guitar, tenor banjo, ukulele, musical saw, and sing in a band called Anarchists' Union (Local 360). I am classically trained as a woodwind musician but I promise I will never again play jazz flute in public. I am a founder of the Lucky Devil Girly Show, a kick-ass burlesque troupe. I have been known to collect breast autographs for my upcoming book "Thanks for the Mammaries-a Groupie's Photo Journal." I like dancing, records, sewing, and collecting vintage stuff from the 20's-50's. I am part of a feminist zine called Siren. My parents are both sea captains and my sweetie had to spend 10 years at sea and become a first mate just to gain the approval of my father. I therefore love all manner of pirates, buried treasure, mermaids, and sea chanties. I also love conjoined twins, dolls, my victrola, DIY living, my high school sweetheart, nuns, sex, reading, politics, spinning yarn, my daughters, gardening, and costumes.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Who I currently want to meet are more sarcastic, poetic, quick-witted, Capricorn men. Women who are into non-fiction, playing music, and debates. Perhaps some vaudevillians? Punk Rockers? Ooh! Ooh! I also like circus and freak show performers. And anarchists. I want to meet folks with integrity. And discordians. And feral living enthusiasts.

My New Capricorn Boyfriend

Alas, I was born over 300 years too late.  Is it wrong for my heart to race, cheeks to flush, voice to erupt in soft giggles and raucous laughter at the antics, irreverence, intellect, ethics, an...

The three C’s

For the past several days I've been teaching a Frontier themed day camp to a group of girls ages 7-13.   It's basically a rural skills class for kids.  We've made preserves, churned but...

Curiouser and Curiouser

It's 10:30am and I have already been unproductive. Look at me, I'm blogging instead of putting up wire for the bean poles.  But I can't help it. I came across an old photo and thought I'd share.&...

Bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free from PEAK OIL.

We've had some farm visitors lately.  They were full of questions...And full of PEAK OIL talk. Having been the person responsible for farm correspondence for the past 9 years, I've noticed that n...
