About Me

Unusual, artsy, label-hating punk/goth/bohemian humanist with too much empathy, yet so easily angered by the hypocrisy and meanness of others. Both analytical and creative. A painter and a coder. Loves to write in incomplete sentences. So absolutely full of passion, there seems to be virtually no way to completely discharge it...but someday you might have the rare opportunity to witness the smolder become flame. Mind the eyebrows, they will be singed.

My Interests

Randomly jumping into piles of autumn leaves; eating chocolate; being in sunlight and water for as long as possible each year; watching as much TV as humanly possible without actually owning a television; making costumes, despite not owning a proper sewing machine; petting my awesome cats; listening to people tell their life stories and anecdotes, as I gather wisdom that way; collecting R2-D2 toys; occasionally writing frou-frou love poetry that I show to no one; filling my soul with music; surrealist painting when the mood strikes; reading Tarot for anyone who will put up with me doing it; trying to be more Zen (which is a challenge).

I'd like to meet:

If you're a non-conformist, you're cool with me.

Music:

There's little music I don't love. Well...country music is pretty abhorrent, only because I grew up in a place where there were few non-country radio stations. Needless to say, I was an MTV junkie from age 6, until 1990 when it became crap. At the end of all things, music pervades my soul, every waking moment...and sleeping, too.

Movies:

Star Wars; lost of sci-fi, good and bad; Tarantino; Tim Burton; so much, so much. I love movies more than anything else.

Television:

Battlestar Galactica; House, M.D.; Red Dwarf; Andromeda; Simpsons; Family Guy; cartoons in general; most sci-fi shows; Surgery on Discovery health. Addendum: Doctor Who rocks my world! I want to have Christopher Eccleston's manbabies.

Books:

The Neils of cyberpunk novels + William Gibson, classic sci-fi like Heinlein and Asimov, Neuroscience books, Harry Potter (yes, I love it, don't throw rocks at me). Currently reading a short story collection by Ray Bradbury. Hopefully, I'll someday NOT have the attention span of a gnat and actually write my own books. That is my dream job.

Heroes:

Remedios Varo; Obi-wan Kenobi; Isaac Asimov.
